Description of the machine

Introduced on the Tabexpo of Barcelona 2003, the Ares rodmaker is one of the most successful products of the SCM portfolio. It is the only rodmaker in the industry that has been specifically designed to run on HTL material.

The Ares rodmaker has been created for customers with the
highest speed requirements. In several configurations, the Ares
has recorded the highest speeds in the industry. Apart from the
extra long garniture section, the setup of the Ares machine is
based on a modular philosophy, using separate servo drives for
all different stages in the process. This aspect greatly enhances
the machine flexibility and capability to run on highly variable product
specs. All thinkable state of the art features and options are
available on the Ares rodmaker and an integrated bobbin changer
comes as standard. One of the most desirable options is the Libra
weight control.

The Ares rodmaker is the ideal machine to use in combination with
the other high speed machines in the SCM portfolio, such as the
Ganimede for double sheet HTL products, The Orion head shaper,
Aeolus spiral overroller, the Max 80 filter attachment machine, and
the Minerva/Minervus tip attachment machines.
